How to make Your Own Homemade Tanning Lotion In Easy Steps
Having a beautiful self tan for the summer time is something we all crave.
And guess what…
SUMMER IS HERE!
But, some of you still haven’t seen the sun. Either because of where you live, or because your schedule has made it impossible to soak up even an ounce of sunlight.
Purchasing a self tanning product is the easy solution, but some of us don’t have the extra cash to spend $40 on bronze in a bottle…or would rather spend the $40 on Tequila for Margarita Mix.
But, does that mean people who don;t have extra money can’t be tan?
Of course not!! Here are 3 concoctions for an at home self tanner using everyday products you have in the kitchen.
Before we get to the process, let me just say that this is very messy and definitely not the preferred way to self tan! But, if you have absolutely zero money for a proper self tanner, it can work.
Beware: Since applying these products can be messy, we advise you do it outside. However, we do not advise you do it outside while naked.
But, hey, they’re your neighbors 🙂 Now on to the formulas…
1) Cocoa Powder:
- ¼ cup of cocoa powder (like Hershey’s baking cocoa)
- ¼ cup of your favorite white lotion.
Mix the lotion and cocoa powder together until very smooth and creamy. Spread an even layer of the concoction on your skin.
Or, you can apply with a sponge or makeup wedge. Remember that this is NOT waterproof; your tan will last until your next shower.
